In February 2007 haacon hebetechnik GmbH took over the majority share of HETEK Hebetechnik GmbH. The new joint cooperation between both enterprises creates new opportunities and perspectives from each company regarding Systems technology / engineering (haacon) and lifting, levelling and container movement devices (Hetek). These business fields will be merged and represented under the name "Hoisting systems". The target for the future is, to become together the worldwide leader and strongest supplier of Hoisting systems for mobile applications. Hetek Competence for more than sixty years For more than 60 years HETEK has offered to its customers reliable products and displayed great ingenuity in designing and manufacturing special bespoke hoisting equipment. Already during the times of the former GDR, HETEK was a well-known manufacturer of hoisting gear and belonged to the TAKRAF trust. The requirement for car jacks of the GDR-market was completely covered. In addition to this HETEK also supplied large quantities of car jacks to both the VOLVO and PEUGEOT new car production plants. haacon Competence for more than 135 years haacon was founded in 1872 in Freudenberg / Main as a lifting equipment manufacturer of so-called ratchet jacks, which were used in quarries as well as agriculture and forestry. Already in 1919, toothed rack threads, rope and spindle winches were delivered throughout Europe. In 1956, the Joseph Haamann lifting equipment factory took up the serial production of trailer support jacks for commercial vehicles. Since 1981, the company has been operating under the name haacon hebetechnik gmbh.
